About the Department

PG and Research Department of International Business was started in the year 1998. The department offers B.Com IB and M.Com IB programs. The program offers exposure to complexities of International dimensions of several disciplines such as Foreign Trade, Export Import Documentation, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Foreign Exchange Management, HR Management, International Marketing, International Finance as well as International Economics and Social culture. It helps students tackle challenges of a complex multicultural, multilingual and a globally competitive environment as well as expose them to managerial challenges of International trade and of working under different jurisdictions.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES-BCOM (IB)

  • To instil positive attitude and ethical values among the students to be successful in personal and
    professional career.
  • To equip students with current development in the field of International Business which cater the current needs of the industry.
  • To build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the area of commerce.
  • To enable students with an ability of problem solving and decision making.
  • To expose students in the area of export/import procedures.

Upon the completion of the programme, the students will be able to

  • Impart the knowledge in the practical application of accounting.
  • Employ the functions of supply chain in international business.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with written and oral means.
  • Demonstrate the skills in the field of logistics management and Port operations.
  • Exhibit management functions to international business decision making.
