Indian Knowledge System

The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), or the Bharatiya Gyan Parampara Vibhaga is a division of the Ministry of Education of the Government of India which purports to promote indigenous Indian systems of knowledge.The National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020 emphasises on Bharatiya Gyan Parampara (Indian Knowledge Systems) at the heart of Indian educations as Tamilnadu is rich in History, Literature and Culture.

EXHIBITIONS

Endangered medicinal plants and their products were displayed. Sessions on Medicinal Plants: Health and Disease management and Therapeutic values of medicinal plants and their active metabolites – Traditional to Modern Practice were organized.

CELEBRATIONS

The Pongal celebration restores tradition by creating awareness and engaging the students in long forgotten traditional practices. Every year competitions and traditional activities are conducted to inculcate the heritage of Tamil culture.

The Onam Celebration a traditional festival of Kerala, is celebrated every year to foster cultural awareness and unity among students and staff, paying Homage to the rich cultural traditions of Kerala
